This work explores the presence of the self within public surveillance images.

Using live-streamed cameras installed in urban spaces, the artist records herself standing in front of the camera and later attempts to identify her own figure among crowds.

As the number of people increases, the individual becomes indistinguishable, reduced to an anonymous and generic existence.

Through this process, the work questions whether one can still claim to be a unique and irreplaceable individual within contemporary society.

この作品は、公共空間における監視映像の中での自己の存在を探求している。

都市に設置されたライブカメラの映像を用い、作者自身がカメラの前に立つ様子を記録し、その後、群衆の中から自分の姿を特定しようと試みた。

しかし、人の数が増えるにつれて、個人は識別不可能となり、匿名的で一般化された存在へと還元されていく。

このプロセスを通して本作は、現代社会において「固有でかけがえのない個人」というものが存在し得るのかを問いかける。
